The Deaf Justice Project is a nonpartisan information center. It was created to centralize, contextualize, and distribute information about Deaf individuals and their interactions with the criminal justice system.
DJP was established in 2025 by Rian Nelson while receiving her undergraduate degree from Emerson College. She became interested d/Deaf Justice while pursuing an ASL minor. She seeks to use her abilities to increase visibility among hearing individuals about this important issue.
